The network

A new architecture
for owning gold.

Phoenix connects physical custody, digital claims and economic incentives. The goal is to make gold easier to hold, transfer and use across a network of independent participants.

01 / The foundation

Physical custody.
Shared standards.

Gold sits with custodians. Ownership is placed into a network trust under the applicable agreements. Holders receive Cyphers representing claims on specified quantities and qualities of that gold.

The proposed model reduces dependence on a single custodian by allowing independent nodes to participate under common collateral, reporting, redemption and audit requirements.

Security comes from several layers.

Stake makes default costly; trust tiers determine how much capital a node must commit; audits and redemption checks test performance. None of those measures makes custody risk disappear. Together, they create a system that can be assessed and improved.

02 / Participation

A node has responsibilities,
not just a place on a map.

01

Commit capital

Nodes stake approved gold assets and PGC according to the applicable policy. A fully collateralized route is intended to support open entry; a governance-approved trust tier can reduce capital requirements.

02

Declare and safeguard the gold

A custodian declares conforming, unencumbered gold and accepts the trust and custody obligations. Storage, title, access rights and redemption responsibilities must be clearly documented.

03

Remain auditable

Every node must allow PGN-appointed representatives to audit its claimed gold at PGN’s cost. Redemption probes and published evidence support ongoing review.

04

Honour claims

A verified delivery default can lead to collateral slashing, legal recovery and removal from the network. A failed probe should be investigated through the published escalation process.

03 / The holder

One asset.
Several ways to use it.

Holding a Cypher keeps your claim to gold identifiable. Transfer and redemption are core uses; sales, payments and borrowing depend on the relevant service being active and funded.

Orders that add new gold remain pending until the gold is admitted. Existing available inventory can support an immediate purchase under the published settlement rules.
